Alain Planès
Born in Lyon in 1948, Alain Planès has been a pianist since early childhood. He has developed an international career marked by a rigorous and pared-down approach to the repertoire, with a particular focus on the works of Erik Satie, Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel, as well as Schubert, Haydn and Bartók.
Alongside his musical practice, he develops a self-taught painting practice, primarily dedicated to the representation of composers, as well as a body of poetic writing.
